Turkish Airlines plane collides at Nigerian airport

A Turkish Airlines plane while taxing to a stop at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria had collided with another aircraft from Max Air.

According to sources at the airport, the Turkish Airlines plane had landed safely and then on its way to stop at the apron, the wing of the aircraft had collided with that of the aircraft from Max Air.

Both planes had received minor damages and were taken away for repairs. The Max Air plane was reported as bringing in pilgrims back to Nigeria from Saudi Arabia following the recent Muslim pilgrimage.

Fan Ndubuoke, spokesman for Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), confirmed the incident however reported the damages were minor and both planes had been taken away for repairs.
