At the event organized in cooperation with the Turkish Education Foundation UK (TEV UK), Galatasaray Education Foundation (GEV) and Boğaziçi Alumni Association (BÜMED), Turkey's Ambassador to London Osman Koray Ertaş, former British Ambassador to Ankara Peter Westmacott, Turkey's Consul General in London Bekir Utku Atahan and many guests attended.

Noting that the Republic of Turkey emerged on the scene as a modern state in a short time, Ertaş said, "Fortunately, Atatürk's life continues. The Republican generation is all proud together." said.

In Westmacott's Turkish speech, the happiness presented at the ball held on the 100th anniversary of the Republic was expressed. Pointing out that Turkey is an important partner for England, Westmacott said, "The Republic of Turkey has achieved a great first century. At the ball, where all proceeds will be given as scholarships to 100 students, jerseys signed by two Galatasaray players, one by Beşiktaş and one by the National Women's Volleyball team players were displayed with open improvement. The 100th anniversary special jersey signed by Galatasaray players and the jerseys belonging to Captain Eda Erdem signed by the Volleyball National Team players were sold for 10 thousand pounds (approximately 342 thousand liras).

The jersey signed by all players of Galatasaray's Mauro Icardi was sold for 7 thousand pounds (approximately 240 thousand liras), while the signature of the Beşiktaş players' centenary special jersey was sold for 1000 pounds (approximately 34 thousand liras).

Turkish singer and pianist Karsu presented a wonderful concert to those who came to the Republic Ball with her unique voice.
