Prime Minister Üstel to hold contacts in Ankara.Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and the coalition partners flied to Ankara in order to hold official contacts. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu and the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı are accompanying the premier during his visit to Türkiye. Prime Minister Üstel will visit Anıtkabir today as part of his Ankara visit program.He will then meet with the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye, Fuat Oktay, at the Presidential Complex and attend the luncheon organized by Fuat Oktay in honour of Üstel.The Prime Minister Üstel will be received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at 16.00. He will meet with Speaker of GNAT Mustafa Şentop in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye at 17.30. It is expected that the premier and his delegation will return to the island on Wednesday, June 1st after completing their contacts.
Mask and test requirement lifted in TRNC
The mask and test requirement applied within the scope of coronavirus measures in the TRNC has been lifted as of Friday (27/05/2022).The decisions of the Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases dated May 25, which envisages the abolition of mask and testing obligations in the country, entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette on Friday, May 27.Accordingly, as of Friday, the obligation to use masks in closed areas in the country has been lifted. However, it is recommended that people who have upper respiratory complaints and are in the risk group and who are unvaccinated should continue to use masks in closed areas.
