Second Enfield Youth and Family hub opens in Craig Park

The Craig Park Youth and Family Hub in Edmonton officially celebrated its grand opening, providing families in Enfield with vital access to advice, support, and a variety of activities since its initial opening in January 2024.Children, young people and many caregivers gathered to celebrate the grand launch on 8 July, along with Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Cllr Abdul Abdullahi, who had the honour of unveiling the hub. The event had numerous activities for all ages to enjoy, including a fancy-dress competition, face-painting and much more. They further had the opportunity to explore the new centre and learn about the numerous services being offered to local families with young children by Enfield Council.  The new hub marks a significant milestone for the local community in delivering much-needed services and tailored support for children and families. This includes helping anyone from pregnancy up until age 19, or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Services and activities include breastfeeding support clinics, baby health and development reviews, antenatal and post-natal maternity services, perinatal mental health support,  family support drop-in sessions,  employment welfare benefits advice, domestic violence support and more.

Cllr Abdullahi said: “I am delighted to have opened our second Youth and Family Hub – delivering on our manifesto commitment to ensure children and young people in Enfield have a great start in life, and allow families to flourish at every stage of their lives.

"Our new hub will help us deliver a holistic approach to supporting families, with a range of services and trained professionals, alongside engaging and fun activities to promote good health and wellbeing."

Enfield Council is committed to creating community hubs for stronger and safer neighbourhoods.  

The new Youth and Family hub is at 2 Lawrence Road, N18 2HN and has been supported by grant funding from the Department for Education.
