Turkey's exports increase 4.3 pct in February 2014

Turkey's exports increased by 4.3 percent year-on-year in February hitting $12.1 billion, The Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) announced on Saturday. The automobile industry had the highest exports in February with $1.836 billion.  Turkey's goal for 2014 is to reach $166.5 billion in exports. Its exports was about US$12 billion in January 2014. The countries with the highest exports in the world February were Germany, Iraq and the UK.  In 2013, Turkey's exports were down 0.4 percent year-on-year, reaching US$151.86 billion, while its imports were up 6.4 percent year-on-year to US$251.6 billion, according to the national statistics agency, TurkStat.
