On 13 February, Enfield Youth’s Got Talent brought together homegrown young performers from various artistic backgrounds for an annual contest. From singing and dancing to poetry and magic, the diverse talents were applauded for their creativity and self-expression throughout the night. Voting was left to the audience, who were asked to select their favourite acts in the show. The winner of first place was awarded to Alphonse, with vouchers worth £250. The second place was awarded to Melissa, with vouchers worth £150, and third place to The Band (Olaf, Kalece and Sophia), with vouchers worth £50.
Special recognition was also awarded to Jenny and Anh for ‘Stage Presence Winner’, Ethan for ‘Crowd Interaction’, and Skye for ‘Performance Winner’.
Enfield Youth’s Got Talent aims to celebrate the limitless potential of today’s youth while inspiring the next generation of performers.
Cllr Abdul Abdullahi, the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “I would like to thank the Council Youth Development Service for organising such a great event, our Youth Workers Talisha Anderson-Wright and Stacey McKnight, and our partners Steppaz Performing Arts Academy and Every Loves Music, for their hard work in supporting this event. Their dedication to mentoring has allowed our talented young people to flourish and deliver performances with great passion.
“Our participants have been putting in enormous hard work by rehearsing weekly with trained professionals. I would like to congratulate them on filling the talent show with love, energy, and enthusiasm. As a Council, we will continue to support their skills and help further their talent so they can reach their full potential.”
Enfield Council is committed to empowering young people and helping them sharpen their talents to create opportunities for success.
