The evening will also feature a number of Borucu’s own compositions performed with Suetomi, including ‘The Visit’, in memory of Ertuğrul Frigate, who voyaged from Istanbul to Japan in 1899 only to be caught in a storm and sink.
As 2024 marks the centennial milestone of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Japan, join us in honouring this historic occasion through an enchanting fusion of Anatolian and Yamato music.
