KazNARU RETAINED FIFTH PLACE AMONG KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITIES

Kazakh National Agrarian Research University entered the top 700 best universities in the world and confidently maintains fifth place among Kazakh universities for several years according to the QS international ranking. On June 5, 2024, the international analytical agency in the field of higher education Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) published a new edition of the ranking of the best universities in the world in 2025 - QS World University Rankings-2025. 21 universities from Kazakhstan were represented in the ranking, of which five improved, and four maintained their positions.In total, 5663 higher education institutions from 106 countries of the world participated this year, and only 1503 were included in the new ranking.

The leader in the ranking is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), in second place is Imperial College London (UK), in third place is Oxford University (Great Britain).

This year the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University and Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University took 671-680 places. 

 KazNARU continues to grow according to the following indicators:

- “Ratio of teachers and students”;
- “Academic reputation”;
- “Reputation among employers”;
- “Index of International Scientific Collaborations”;
- “Stability”.

KazNARU has increased its position due to the high quality of the educational environment, the level of teaching, research activities, the effectiveness of curriculum application, mentoring, collaboration of educational programs, strategic positioning, the use of innovative approaches in the educational process and contribution to the sustainable development of the university.

Vice rector on international relations Dr Rafis Abazov highlighted that “International collaboration with foreign partners - such as universities from Istanbul, Ankara, Trabzon, Kastamalu(Türkiye) - was an important part of the development.”
