A completely Turkish-made drone, produced by the hands of experts at 19 May University's Aviation and Space Technology Practice and Research Center, is now ready for its first flight. The center's managing director Prof. Dr. Fersat Kolbakir said that the groundwork for the year long project cost approximately 1.5 million Turkish Liras. He also stated that every part of the unmanned aircraft is completely Turkish-made, apart from the motor, as to create a new motor would take 5-10 years to complete. For now the motor will be sent from a foreign firm, but a deal for a Turkish-made motor is still on the horizon.
