Fenerbahce advanced to the Turkish Cup semifinals after eliminating Kirklarelispor on Tuesday evening. In the second-leg match in Istanbul, Fenerbahce beat Kirklarelispor 1-0 at home with their striker Mevlut Erdinc's goal at 50th minute. Fenerbahce also defeated the third tier club Kirklarelispor 3-0 in a first-leg match in the Turkish Cup quarterfinals on last Wednesday. If Trabzonspor eliminate Erzurumspor on Thursday, they would face Fenerbahce in the semifinals.
Trabzonspor beat Erzurumspor 5-0 at home in their quarterfinals first leg match on last Tuesday.
In other quarterfinals Wednesday, reigning champions Galatasaray will face Aytemiz Alanyaspor.
In the first-leg match, Alanya beat Galatasaray 2-0 at home.
On Thursday, Turkish Super Lig leaders Demir Grup Sivasspor will face Antalyaspor in the second-leg game. The first-leg match ended goalless.
