ISTANBUL (AVRUPA TIMES) The dollar rose to 3.0143 Turkish lira on Wednesday.
The dollar was at 2.96 Turkish lira on Monday.
The U.S currency is now trading at the lowest level seen in three months against the Turkish lira.
Emerging market currencies have been pressured by international events: The tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran, and the announcement by North Korea of testing a hydrogean bomb have together soured trader sentiment against these currencies.
A report due from the U.S Federal Reserve late on Wednesday could spur a further fall in the lira.
